Design Development

An on-going policy of product development and innovation underpins the ability of PRM Newage products to meet customers' operational demands. This is found on a wealth of engineering expertise, backed by modern technology and complemented by advanced CAD/CAM facilities - to ensure that future generations of PRM Newage equipment continue to set new standards of energy efficiency, performance and durability. Design is undertaken using 3D computer aided design system supported by proprietary software for design analysis including gear design and analysis to ISO6336.
Inhouse test capabilities include: 600 HP computer controlled dynamometer test rig. Flywheel rig for clutch testing. High speed test rig. Axle beam test rig. The above equipment is dedicated to product development. Each unit built on production is audit tested in dedicated test rigs.
PRM Newage also use external test and analysis facilities such as the gear design unit of Newcastle University and the Motor Industry Research Association (MIRA) at Hinckley.
